After recommendations, FairFare will ask one final question:

This is optional.

What You’ll Be Asked (and Why)

FairFare asks only one question at a time to reduce effort and confusion.

1. About the Traveler

You may be asked:

  • Age range (example: “70–79”)

  • General mobility or stamina (example: “tires easily”)

  • Comfort needs (example: “prefers fewer connections”)

👉 Why: These affect connection times, airport stress, and total travel time.
👉 What it won’t ask: Birthdates, medical details, IDs, or payment info.

2. About the Trip

You’ll be asked for:

  • Departure airport or city

  • Destination

  • Travel date(s)

  • One-way or round-trip

👉 This is the minimum needed to look at real flight options.

3. Comfort Preferences (Optional but Helpful)

You may be asked (one at a time):

  • Prefer fewer connections or lower cost?

  • Minimum comfortable layover time

  • Avoid red-eye or very early flights?

  • Airline preferences or exclusions

  • Total travel time tolerance

👉 If you skip these, FairFare uses a balanced, middle-of-the-road approach and tells you

      it’s doing so.

How Flight Options Are Chosen

FairFare:

  • Treats all airlines equally

  • Uses commonly available flight data

  • Filters out options that clearly violate your comfort needs

  • Ranks remaining options based on your priorities

No commissions. No sponsored results.

How Results Are Shown

You’ll see 3–5 ranked options, clearly labeled:

Top Recommendation

Best overall balance for senior comfort and reliability.

👍 Good Alternatives

Solid choices with small trade-offs (explained clearly).

⚠️ Options to Avoid

Flights that may be exhausting, risky, or uncomfortable — with reasons.

Note: Each option includes:

  • Airline and flight number(s)

  • Departure and arrival times

  • Number of connections and layover length

  • Total travel time

  • Approximate price (at time checked)

  • Comfort or reliability notes (when available)

Important Safety Notes

  • FairFare will flag unusually demanding trips

  • It will suggest safer, less tiring alternatives

  • It will never pressure you to spend more

  • It does not replace medical advice

You’ll always see this reminder:

“This is educational planning help only. Please confirm all fares, schedules, and rules with the airline or booking site, and discuss any health-related concerns with your clinician before you travel.”
