Introduction:
The CareCompass™ Scam Identifier Tool
V0.5 Beta
Welcome to the Scam Identification Tool
The simple, step-by-step guide to spotting scams before they cost you money, information, or peace of mind.
Scammers often create urgency, fear, or excitement to pressure people into acting quickly—by phone calls, texts, emails, social media, or even at the front door.
In this program, you’ll learn the most common red flags, what scammers say and do, and a clear response plan you can use every time: Stop, Check, Protect. We’ll cover practical examples like “grandparent” emergencies, fake bank alerts, Medicare scams, prize winnings, tech support pop-ups, and requests for gift cards or wire transfers.
Our goal is confidence, not worry: you’ll leave knowing how to pause, verify safely, and get help from trusted contacts—so you stay in control.
(Educational only; if you believe you’re in immediate danger or actively being targeted, contact local authorities or your financial institution right away.)

Note
At this stage, CareCompass is a beta prototype. It’s being shared for exploration, testing, and feedback, not for clinical decision-making.
Any output from the tool is educational in nature and should be reviewed and validated with your hospital team, primary clinician, and case manager before you make decisions about rehab or facility placement.”
